Lip neutralization is a specialized treatment for those with cool, or dark-toned, lips. It is a procedure often performed on clients with darker skin tones or those whose lips have darkened over time due to weather conditions, hyperpigmentation, or underlying medical issues. It involves injecting neutralizing ink pigments into the lip area to balance darker tones and enhance the natural lip color, shape, and symmetry. The treatment creates a subtle, rather than saturated, effect to ensure natural-looking results, perfect for adding definition and fullness.
During the first session, a neutralizing pigment is injected into the area to correct the cool tones in the lips. Blue shades are neutralized using an orange-based pigment, and yellow ink is used to balance purple tones. Each case is unique and it may take 1-3 sessions of lip neutralization to achieve the desired result. Keep in mind, your results may look orangey or very warm when fresh but this is only temporary. Each session is scheduled at 10 weeks apart and once the color is neutralized and even, we can begin working toward the desired goal color. This can take up to 4 appointments depending on specific goals and starting point.
A makeup trend technique where I you use one or more pigment colors to create a gradient from the edge of the lips to the center by manipulating its opacity. The edges of the lips are outlined with high saturation. They are build up to look the darkest at the border and create a contour for a fuller looking pout. As I move towards the center of the lips, the color will look gradually sheerer and sheerer. The center of the lips don’t have to be colored in at all! Ombre lip blushing works with the natural color of your lips, creating
a look that doesn’t cover it up, but rather integrates the natural rosiness. This is a look that I will only create for the right candidate and that will be discussed in detail during the complimentary consultation.
